When I was at writing camp everyone was given a famous art work and asked to create the story it was telling. I don't like writing stories so I went with a poem. Reading it again, it sounds a little emo, please excuse me while I go slit my wrists, can't do anything half-way...A love that shined beyond all others, Ruined by a third party, Severed relationship—the couple barely touches anymore, Smiles never present, She watches constantly worried to the point of paranoia, He stares past not even caring or perhaps unnoticing, Their once horrendous house begins to bloom, Almost as fast as the relationship is wilting, The man grew old with bitterness, The woman seemed to freeze in her coldness never changing, And there they remained until Death’s sweet kiss found them.
The link is to the picture of the painting, if you don't know what it looks like. www.artexpertswebsite.com/pages/artists/artists_l-z/wood/Wood_AmericanGothic1930.jpg
