This idea came from a roleplay I was in at one point. Sadly it died after three or so posts. I think it would be interesting to see where this would go as a story. Giving too many details takes the fun out of the game so I'll leave it as this.
Alec watched the sun rise from the backseat of an old truck. They say that dawn brings the light and everything will be all better. Alecander disagreed. The dark hid what the world had become. The dark was peaceful. It made him happy.
He knew when Arden woke up because of how loud he was. Maybe not loud to most, but to Alec Arden waking up was loud. Guess it's time to get up for the day... or it will be soon. Long days and short nights. That is what Alecander was finding these days. It didn't bother him not really, he had chosen this life knowing what he was getting into. He worried about Arden though, how long could he remain his happy go-lucky self? Only time could tell, he guessed.
Maybe Alec should just stop treating him like a child. He wasn't one. But still Alecander always felt the need to have to watch over him. Silly? Possibly. It wasn't something he cared to think too deeply about.
He had other issues. Like surviving. How long would it take the world to get back to normal if it even could at all? So many questions without answers, just waiting to distract Alec from everything important.
A small smile fell upon his lips when Arden came to the back seat area looking for water. He was never going to find it at the angle he was at. Let alone reach it. Mostly because Alecander happened to be using the cases of water as pillows. He pulled out a bottle of water and dangled it in front of Arden. "Looking for this...?"
